Baptiste Charroing couldn't miss it. As he strolled through the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées (TCE), the seats "at the very top" remained dear to his heart. "It was in these gallery boxes that, as a young viola player fresh from Orléans to Paris to study at the Conservatoire, I experienced my first great emotions as a spectator. When you don't have a lot of money, they reach out to you!" And if visibility is limited, "the acoustics are excellent. My friends and I would contort ourselves to see a bit of the stage..." And he recalls this Viva Vivaldi concert with mezzo-soprano Cecilia Bartoli, "a dazzling experience."
